For Freedom and Democracy, Tax the Rich

Local 768 and our DC 37 family marched in No Kings against layoffs of union workers, tax breaks for billionaires at the expense of working families, costly wars.

We’re fighting for these priorities in Albany too. The Adams and Cuomo years have left us with a $5.4 billion budget gap, and we know we need to tax the ultra wealthy, so working New Yorkers can have the services we need.  Here are our DC37 2026 New York State Legislative Session Priorities:

  • Fix Tier 6
  • Regulate Artificial Intelligence (AI)
  • Tax Increases on the Ultra-wealthy
  • 1.75% increase on the corporate tax rate
  • Healthcare
  • Worker Safety
  • Immigration Justice

There’s more, too, from Criminal Justice Reform to Financial Justice and Equity and Supporting Social Workers.

Contract Campaign

We had a great campaign launch meeting, and we’re looking forward to building our unity and strength in the coming months.

  1. Volunteer to form a “contract campaign committee” at your workplace to talk about bargaining priorities with coworkers.
  2. Spread the word about our petition to demonstrate membership support for our priorities.
  3. Plan actions to escalate (ie button days, etc).

Let’s build our unity to win. Join us April 29, 2026, 7 pm for our next contract campaign meeting.

Congrats, NY Transit Museum Collective!

Congrats NY Transit Museum Collective, who won their NLRB election. Welcome to our union family!  🚇💚Follow @nytransitmuseum and @cwuafscme to support the workers as they bargain their first contract.  🚇💚
