Local 768 holds nominations and elections of officers and executive board members every third year in the month of October followed by elections in the month of November. Dues paying members of the local may nominate candidates for office by attending our in-person meeting:
Meeting Date: Tuesday, October 13, 2026
Time: 6:30 p.m.
Place: In Person Meeting at 125 Barclay Street, Meeting Hall Room 5
To be eligible for office, you must be in good standing for one year immediately preceding the election. To nominate, include your first name, last name, agency, title, full personal street address, personal telephone and/or cell phone numbers, and submit nominations using your personal email address.
Any member who wishes to challenge the eligibility of a candidate to run for office must do so by submitting a challenge to the Election Committee at: [email protected] by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 15, 2026. The Election Committee will post its determination regarding the eligibility challenge via email.
Nominations will be held for the following positions: President, Executive Vice President, 1st Vice President of Research and Negotiations, 2nd Vice President of Grievances and Organization, Treasurer, Secretary, Executive Board Members (3), Delegates to DC37 (7), Trustees (3) - (1) 1-year term, (1) 2-year term and (1) 3-year term, Sergeant -At-Arms, (1), Central Labor Council Delegates (3).
The Election Committee will post the list of candidates at www.Local768.net. An election will be conducted if there are more nominees than positions available.
The election will be a mail ballot. You will receive your mail ballot in November to vote. We’ll send another notice, with instructions if you don’t receive your ballot, so you can call the American Arbitration Association (AAA) to request a replacement.
