Solidarity with Striking Nurses
On Monday, January 12, nearly 15,000 NYC private sector nurses went on strike at Mount Sinai, NY Presbyterian and Montefiore hospitals.
Our local stands in solidarity with the nurses on strike who are fighting to protect patient and nurse safety. On February 3, 2026, our Local 768 executive board passed a resolution to demand that hospital management come to the bargaining table in good faith to sign a fair contract and to contribute to NYSNA’s hardship strike fund. Here's how you can support:
- Join the picket line! A strong picket line is essential to winning the strike and puts nurses’ resolve and the community’s support on display. - Email the CEOs of Montefiore, Mount Sinai, and NewYork-Presbyterian to let them know that we stand in solidarity with nurses here.
