Bargaining update
Local 768’s Unit Contract bargaining is starting soon, and we need our agencies to hear our voices loud and clear and to show we are united in our unit bargaining demands. Sign our petition now: https://www.local768.net/contract26
Our Citywide DC37 contract also expires in Fall 2026. Let’s build our unity now to fight for a contract and city government that make sure that we serve NYC, and can afford NYC.

Labor Notes: "building a stronger labor movement"
Our DC 37 Local 768 Delegation went to Chicago for Labor Notes. Will MacDonald shared highlights: “As a member of the DC37 Local 768 delegation to Labor Notes I left the conference energized and inspired.
The main highlight for me was being among engaged workers from various occupations organizing to get fair deals in their workplace and community. They were carpenters, attorneys, artists, UPS drivers, physicians, flight attendants, social workers, nurses, mail carriers among others, and they all reminded me of the value in contributing to building a stronger labor movement. I didn’t know the extent to which UPS workers were timed and monitored on each task in their delivery trucks. Every opportunity workers have to learn from each other builds our solidarity.
Listening to Alfonso Valero of Spain’s General Confederation speak about immigrant workers and native Spaniards coming together to win an Amazon contract was especially inspiring”

Gender identity and pronouns
Local 768 affirms all members’ right to be treated with respect based on their gender identity. We encourage all members to identify their gender pronouns, even if they believe them to be assumed correctly. More information on common gender pronouns can be found here.
This simple practice helps avoid mis-gendering other members, which is referring to another person using the wrong gender pronouns. In addition, NYC Human Rights law prohibits discrimination based on gender identity or expression, including failure to use an individual’s correct pronouns.
