Members in action: work together to better our community
Mychelle Vaughn: I’m a Dental Assistant Supervisor. I started at North Central Bronx in 2005, under PAGNY. It will be 20 years this month. It became my home. I got really attached to my patients, adults and children alike, and to watching my pediatric patients grow up. Many are now teenagers. We started under H+H in 2023 and joined the union so we have benefits and a chance to grow.
Right now, we’re working together to improve the dental department, for example increasing staffing so we can better service the community. We’re also learning to become union representatives to be the voice for our coworkers. We’re here! Be heard and make your presence known. How can we all work together to better our community?
