Inspectors petition for compressed schedules

Jacquelyn Millette reports, “Our inspectors want a compressed schedule with the same start time and a 3-day weekend for all! The petition was served directly to management last week with an overwhelming amount of support from inspectors, and that same week our union met with the agency about it. We are now awaiting a compressed schedule plan from our agency that respects our service and livelihood. Thanks Benny, who was instrumental in collecting signatures for our petition.”

Front Line & Fearless: AFSCME 46th International Convention

On June 3, we’ll nominate delegates to represent Local 768 at AFSCME’s International Convention, August 12-16, in Los Angeles, California. Conventions are a great opportunity to participate in making resolutions, and build a stronger, more united labor movement. Join us June 3, 2024 at 7pm to nominate a coworker or yourself. Shortly afterwards, we will hold elections.

There are two options for nominations:

  1. Meet online via Zoom; register at https://dc37local.com/768.
  2. Nominate by email from your personal email address to [email protected] by June 2, 2024 at 11:59pm. Include your name: first and last, Agency, job title, full personal street address, personal telephone and/or cell phone number. To nominate a candidate include the following information: name: first and last, Agency worked at, job title, their full personal street address, their personal telephone and/or cell phone number.
